Dairy prices fall at Fonterra auction

Dairy commodity prices fell at Fonterra's overnight online auction, with the GlobalDairyTrade trade weight index falling 2.6%, after a 4.5% rise at the previous event a fortnight ago.

The average winning price at the latest event, overnight, was US$4324 (NZ$5361), up from US$4306 at the beginning of June.

The trade weighted price for anhydrous milk fat fell 5.9% with the average winning price at US$5346, skim milk powder fell 7.1% with the average winning price at US$3994, while whole milk powder rose 2.6% with the price at US$3888.
