Holding On 

Some investors said the losses, which drove down the S&P 500 by as much as
2.4 percent, may mark the market's bottom as an economic recovery sparks
renewed profit growth. 

Stephen Berman, who helps manage $9 billion for Stein Roe Investment
Counsel, said he's not selling stocks today. ``I wish I'd done that a month
ago,'' he said. ``At this point, I'm afraid of panicking and selling at the
bottom.''
