Lippy, Nick, Ratkin et al - Ah, the perils of prediction eh? I see the Dow
closed at 9120, down just 6, while the Nasdaq was up 5. Years ago I came to the
conclusion that neither I nor anyone else was capable of predicting anything
with any degree of accuracy. Since then, I have concentrated on following what
the market is doing, rather than what it ought to do, taking a totally reactive
approach.
Craig, I don't short trade in Australia, only in America, where I use Datek.
They charge a flat rate $9.99 for any trade of up to 5000 shares, market or
limit, short or long. Short positions that are "in the money" accrue credit
interest for that day based on the "in the money" amount. Short positions that
are "out of the money" are charged debit interest for that day based on the
"out of the money" amount.
Attached is an updated chart for BCA. The trendline has now been confirmed.
Very simple TA, as used here, has kept you out of this stock for well over six
months, as its price has continued to fall.
