U.S. stock markets are showing mixed results on a concern of the potential impact of the COVID-19 variant.
This morning the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.09%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite rose 0.11% and 0.43%, respectively.
Other key markets ended mixed. European stocks closed higher as follows: the FTSE100 (-0.04%), the Dax 30 (-0.80%), CAC 40 (-0.72%) and the STOXX (-0.50%). In Asia, the Hang Seng and Shanghai indices were up. The key Asian indices ended yesterday as follows: Nikkei 225(+1.42%), HSI (+0.06%) and the Shanghai Composite (+1.18%)
The yield on the US 10 - year note was at 1.51%, while the 2 - year note was at 0.70%. Oil was slightly up to $75.89 per barrel, up 0.60%. The gold price was at US$1786.09 per ounce, up 0.08%.
