Spark today announced the appointment of Tommy Bjorkberg as Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective 1 October 2026. The Chief Operating Officer role has responsibility for network operations, business technology services, and cyber security.
Tommy brings more than 25 years of international telecommunications and technology leadership experience, spanning mobile and fixed networks, cloud, and digital infrastructure.
He is currently Vice President Network and Cloud at KPN in the Netherlands, where he leads strategy, transformation, and architecture across fixed, mobile, IP, cloud, and IT domains. Prior to that, he held senior leadership roles at Telefónica UK (O2), and Ericsson, working across the UK and Europe on large-scale network transformation programmes, using AI and automation to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
