Included in the three-year contract is a licence to supply rugby jerseys to New Zealand's rugby club teams, with all ordering to be handled by LWR's customer services team.
LWR Chairman Ken Anderson says LWR secured the contract having demonstrated its ability to produce sportswear efficiently and at scale. "We have the ability at LWR to produce jerseys quickly, and in large numbers," he said. "Our quick-response manufacturing strategy means we can take a large order of clothing on Monday morning and deliver that same week."
"In addition we have invested heavily in technology in the last five years which has brought our factories up to the standard adidas requires."
adidas Managing Director Greig Bramwell says it is delighted be working in partnership with LWR supplying its apparel in New Zealand. ''We look forward to working in partnership with LWR which has a track record of producing high quality apparel."
LWR's manufacturing division combines the latest technology together with its experienced machinists to create garments to the highest specification. These LWR garments are sold to a number of high profile customers including David Jones, Myer and Target in Australia. LWR also exports worldwide including to the United States, Japan and the United Kingdom.
