Dairy auction prices rise 2.4%

Dairy commodity prices strengthened at Fonterra's overnight online auction, with the global DairyTrade trade weighted index rising 2.4%, and the average winning price up to $US3690 ($NZ4989) from $US3594 a fortnight ago.

For anhydrous milk fat, the trade weighted price rose 0.7% to an average $US5380, butter milk powder was down 0.7% to $US3020, skim milk powder lifted 2.5% to $US3128, and whole milk powder gained 2.6% to $US3620.
