The Chairman of The Colonial Motor Company Limited (CMC), Ashley Waugh, has announced the appointment of John Alexander Beveridge as an independent director of the Company; the appointment being effective from 29 April 2025.
John is an experienced director in both the public and non-public company environments and has held a number of senior management positions with both listed and unlisted companies. He is currently a director of NZX-listed Steel & Tube Holdings Ltd and chair of the non-public NZ Scaffolding Group of companies.
John’s corporate career included senior management roles with Fletcher Building, where he was the CEO of Placemakers, following earlier leadership roles with Pacific Steel and Golden Bay Cement.
As a director appointed by the Board, John will be subject to election at the next meeting of the Shareholder, which is currently scheduled to be the 2025 Annual Meeting set down for 7 November.
The Board has determined that, for the purposes of Listing Rule 2.6.1, John Beveridge is an Independent Director.
The CMC Directors welcome John to the Board.
