AFT Pharmaceuticals (NZX: AFT ; ASX: AFP) Chair David Flacks has today announced his intention to retire from the Board of the company within the next 12 months and after a successor has been appointed.
Speaking at the company’s Annual Shareholders Meeting in Auckland Mr Flacks said: “I was appointed as Chair ahead of the company’s initial public offer and listing on the New Zealand and Australian stock exchanges at the end of 2015. By this time next year, I would have served as Chair of the company for more than 12 years.
“It has been an incredible journey. From revenue of $56.2 million in FY15 to revenue of $254.7 million in FY26 and forecasting $300 million for FY27, with significant growth likely to continue in the years ahead, AFT has a record of growth that few companies in New Zealand or Australia can match.
“I would like to thank Co-founders and Executive Directors Hartley and Marree Atkinson for the opportunity to Chair this unique organisation. I will remain very interested in the company’s ongoing progress.”
Dr Atkinson said: “On behalf of shareholders, the Board and Marree and I, I want to thank David for his contribution to the company and help during this period of significant growth, international expansion and development as a publicly listed company. His judgement and advice have been greatly valued by the Board and management team. We look forward to continuing to work with him through the transition.”
Mr Flacks’ address to the 2026 ASM and the Company’s Presentation to shareholders is attached and is available on the company’s website at: https://investors.aftpharm.com/investors/
