The Diamond Ocean Apex rig has completed its work scope and departed the Ironbark-1 well location at mid-night Monday 11th January 2021 (AWST). This will be the last update on the Ironbark-1 well operations.
NZOG Chief Executive Andrew Jefferies said “Though oil and gas exploration can be at times thankless. I would like to thank the Operator BP once again, who have managed to safely deliver a challenging well, in challenging times.
While Ironbark was unsuccessful, the world remains in need of hydrocarbons, particularly gas. We look forward to continuing our quest to find, produce and deliver the energy, that keeps showers hot, homes warm, and cooks the sausages on the summer BBQ.”
Participants in WA-359-P are BP Developments Australia Pty Ltd (Operator, 42.5%), Cue Exploration Pty Ltd (21.5%), Beach Energy limited (21%) and NZOG (Ironbark) Pty Ltd (15%).
