The a2 Milk Company (a2MC, the Company) advises that David Wang has been appointed as an independent non-executive director of the Company with effect from 1 September 2022.
David has over 30 years’ experience across industrial and consumer goods businesses with expertise in manufacturing and supply chain including 15 years in senior executive leadership roles in China.
David is based in China and is currently the President of Asia Pacific for Buhler AG, a global leader in the provision of industrial solutions, which specialises in integrated plant equipment system and related services for food processing and advanced materials manufacturing. In this role, David has overarching responsibility for nine manufacturing sites, eight research and development centres and overall supply chain operations across the Asia Pacific region including China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines Thailand, Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand.
Previously, David held various senior executive roles including at Blackstone AVINTIV Inc and Dover Corporation where his responsibilities covered manufacturing, research and development, technology and sales throughout Asia. Earlier in his career, David also worked with PepsiCo for almost 10 years in operations and supply chain.

With the acquisition of our 75% interest in Mataura Valley Milk last year and longer term plans to develop our supply capability in New Zealand and China, David’s insights will be a real asset to the Company,” said Mr Hearn.

The Board has determined that Mr Wang will be an independent director and will sit on both the Audit and Risk Management Committee and the People and Remuneration Committee.
