TEM - Board appointment

Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust PLC (the "Company") announces that the Board of Directors (the "Board") have agreed to appoint Charles Cade as a non-executive Director of the Company, with effect from 1 September 2026.

Charles Cade has more than 30 years' experience in the investment companies sector and was ranked among the leading analysts throughout his career at Numis Securities, Winterflood Securities, HSBC and Merrill Lynch. He is currently chairman of Temple Bar Investment Trust plc, senior independent director of Vietnam Enterprise Investments Limited, a member of Investment Committee of the Rank Foundation charity and an independent consultant to Interactive Investor, the online investment platform.

Charles Cade owns 65,000 shares in the Company.
