Spark today announced the departure of Product Director Tessa Tierney, who has decided to pursue a new opportunity with UP Education.
Spark CEO Jolie Hodson said, “I would like to thank Tessa for the significant contribution she has made since she joined Spark nine years ago. Tessa is a customer and people focused leader who played a pivotal role in our successful flip to Agile and has led our substantial product simplification and digitisation programme, which is delivering better experiences for our customers.
“We thank Tessa for her mahi and wish her all the best in her new endeavours.”
Spark confirmed it would not be replacing the Product Director role on the Leadership Squad.
The changes are effective from 30 June 2024, at which time the Spark Leadership Squad will include:

• Mark Beder, Customer Director Enterprise and Government
• Greg Clark, SME and Consumer Director
• Matt Bain, Marketing Director
• Renee Mateparae, Network and Operations Director

• Leela Ashford (nee Gantman), Corporate Relations and Sustainability Director
• Heather Polglase, People and Culture Director
• John Wesley-Smith, Strategy and Regulatory Director
