Skellerup Christchurch warehouse back to full capacity

Skellerup Holdings says its full warehouse team in Christchurch is back at work and operating at full capacity, following the disruption caused by last month's earthquake.

Despatch of orders restarted late last week. Back orders were being filled and it was expected the operation would be fully up to date before the end of this week, the company said.

Buildings at the site in the Christchurch suburb of Woolston, manufacturing products for the dairy industry, were reviewed by structural engineers and were in good condition.

All the machinery needed to manufacture dairy industry products was undamaged and work was under way on restoring key services such as water supply to the site, Skellerup said.

Once these services were restored, staff would be brought back and a phased approach would start to restore full operations. It was anticipated that process would take about two weeks.
