DB Breweries managing director Andy Routley is stepping down from the role to take up a new position with parent company Heineken as managing director B2B Europe. He will be replaced on Aug. 21 by Peter Simons, who is currently managing director of the company's operations in Vietnam.

Routley joined DB Breweries in 2013, shortly after the company become a wholly owned subsidiary of the Dutch brewing giant. He led the recent acquisition of Kapiti boutique brewer Tuatara Brewing Co and the development of New Zealand as one of two Cider Centres of Excellence for Heineken, the company said in a statement.

His replacement Simons joined Heineken in 1991 as part of the Netherlands sales team and has since held commercial and management roles around the world.

DB Breweries owns bars and brands including Tui, Monteiths and Redwood Cider, and competes with Lion, the local unit of Japanese brewer Kirin Holdings.
