AXA Global Investors has appointed Daniel Mead to the newly created role of investment manager.
Mead will be responsible for managing AXA Global Investors' external manager relationships and conducting due diligence on potential new managers with the aim of identifying quality performers.
He joins AXA Global Investors from Tower where he has held a number of roles over the last 10 years including equity analyst and global analyst.
Mead will report to AXA Global Investors' head of Investment Strategy, Keith Poore.
AXA Global Investors general manager Peter Verhaart says AXA operates best of breed manager-of-manager portfolios and Mead's appointment signals its ongoing commitment to maintain its competitive long-term position in the New Zealand market.
"Our fund managers might be located all around the world, but we construct global portfolios for New Zealand investors' right here in Wellington, not from Sydney or London" says Verhaart.
