Bank of New Zealand, the local unit of National Australia Bank, named Adrienne Duarte as chief financial officer as Ken Christie moves up to a role with the parent.
Duarte will be the bank's first female CFO and her shift to the New Zealand unit continues a pattern of job exchanges among the group's executives, since her 12-year stint at NAB included as manager of performance & planning, where her targets were return on equity and capital efficiency, BNZ said.
She would help BNZ "through the challenging economic times ahead and enable us to continue to perform, and invest in New Zealand, the bank's chief executive Andrew Thorburn said.
She joins in September and Christie moves across to NAB three months later.
