Dairy prices add 3.9%

Dairy commodity prices pressed higher at Fonterra's overnight online auction, with the globalDairyTrade trade weighted index rising 3.9%, and the average winning price up to US$4540 from US$4246 a fortnight ago.

For anhydrous milk fat, the trade weighted price slipped 2.4% to US$6324, skim milk powder edged ahead 0.7% to US$3898, and whole milk powder rose 7.9% to US$4320.
