CHH lifts quarterly sales

Carter Holt Harvey sales have jumped 12% in the latest quarter.

Figures released by the company's major shareholder, International Paper, show CHH sales to the end of June were $US460 million.

That compares with US$410 million for the previous quarter.

The latest result is also a 15% or US$60 million increase on the same period last year, when second-quarter sales stood at US$400 million

International Paper says for the six months to the end of June this year Carter Holt had total sales of US$870 million - that's US$105 million dollars more than in the six months to the end of June 1999.

Carter Holt is due to announce full details of its quarterly result on August 3rd.
