U.S. stock markets closed lower last Friday as the Federal Reserve signals to raise interest rates soon after the bond-buying program in March.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed lower -1.48%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite were up 1.03% and 0.07%, respectively.
Other key markets ended mixed. European stocks closed higher as follows: the FTSE100 (+0.13%), the Dax 30 (+0.67%), CAC 40 (-1.12%) and the STOXX (-0.96%). In Asia, the Hang Seng and Shanghai indices were both down. The key Asian indices ended yesterday as follows: Nikkei 225(-1.79%), HSI (-1.20%) and the Shanghai Composite (-1.16%).
The yield on the US 10 - year note was at 1.41%, while the 2 - year note was at 0.64%. Oil was up to $73.52 per barrel, down 2.00%. The gold price was at US$1798.18 per ounce, down 0.03%.
