US stocks fell on the back of weekly data showing a continued recovery in the labour market. Investors are watching for signs for a jump in inflation and how the Federal Reserve will adjust its monetary policy.
The latest weekly jobless claims were at the lowest level during the pandemic era. Some observers are seeing the Fed’s decision on Wednesday to sell the corporate bonds and ETFs it amassed last year as an early warning sign of shifting Fed policy, albeit not a substantial shift.
