Business Mentors New Zealand (BMNZ) has appointed Sir Ken Stevens as its trustee.

BMNZ provides a national business mentoring service to support the development and growth of New Zealand's small to medium sized enterprises.

BMNZ chief executive Ray Schofield says it is very fortunate to have Stevens join its Board of Trustees and BMNZ looks forward to working alongside him.

"Sir Ken is a perfect fit for BMNZ. He has achieved enormous success in business and has served as a source of inspiration for many other up and coming entrepreneurs," says Schofield.

He says Stevens extensive experience and background, particularly in the export sector, will be a real asset to BMNZ and the SMEs that it supports.

Stevens is the founder and managing director of Glidepath Group. In the years since he started the company, he has opened offices and facilities in New Zealand, Australia, China, India, UAE, Canada, USA, Mexico, Peru and Chile concentrating on baggage handling equipment and projects.

He is also a board member and trustee of the Asia-New Zealand Foundation and chairman of Export New Zealand.

Business Mentors provides access to 1,600 volunteer mentors who provide their experience, skill and knowledge free of charge. The focus of the organisation is on developing capability, profitability, and employment generation.
