Bruce Wills elected Fed Farmers president

Hawke's Bay sheep and beef farmer Bruce Wills has been elected national president of Federated Farmers.

Wills, the current Hawke's Bay provincial president for and former meat and fibre chairman, was elected today at the Federated Farmers annual meeting in Rotorua.

He beat three other contenders in the vote to replace Don Nicolson.

Great to see someone who has a background in urban living. Hopefully he will avoid the rural fortress mentality that some country dwellers have. A well thought out approach.
