Receivers have been appointed to consumer electronics company Next Electronic Servicing.
A notice of the receivership was posted at the Companies Office. The receiver is William Black of McGrath Nicol Partners, according to the notice.
The company was incorporated in 1986. Companies Office records show Salamis Holdings as the only shareholder. Salamis is owned by Kevin and Carolyn Colley and David Macalister of Christchurch.
The group has electronic and mobile phone servicing divisions as well as importing and distribution divisions and provides installation services.
It is a service agent for numerous retailers, including Harvey Norman and Farmers, and services consumer electronics and whiteware brands including HP, AEG and Whirlpool.
National Business Review reported that 50 staff have been made redundant, leaving 40 staff.
