The Auckland Airport Board today announced the nomination of Grant Devonport as a new board director. Mr Devonport has accepted the nomination.
Mr Devonport was the Chief Financial Officer of Australia Pacific Airports Corporation, which owns Melbourne Airport and Launceston Airport, until January this year and is currently a non-executive director of MOVE Logistics Group Limited, and the chair of its Risk Assurance and Audit Committee.
As announced earlier this year, Mr Strange will retire after the upcoming Annual Meeting and Julia Hoare will succeed his position as board chair, having been on the board since 2017.
Mr Strange said, “Grant is an experienced CFO and transformational leader, with over 25 years of multinational experience including CFO roles with Myer Proprietary Limited and Toll Group Limited. If elected, he will be a strong addition to the Board."
Mr Devonport commented, “I am pleased to accept this nomination from the Board and look forward to working with the Auckland Airport team. It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining with a huge transformation program underway and with all of the airport upgrades.”
The shareholders will have the opportunity to vote on Grant’s election at the Annual Meeting on 17 October 2024 and the Board will recommend that shareholders vote in favour of the appointment.
