The Board of Cannasouth Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Juliet Hull as the company’s new Independent non-executive Director.

Ms Hull fills a board vacancy when Mr. Nicholas Foreman retired from the board in October 2020.

Cannasouth Chairman Tony Ho says “we are delighted to welcome Juliet to the board with her extensive leadership management and sales and marketing skills in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. This will assist Cannasouth in our transition from a research-based organisation into a fully-fledged commercial enterprise.”

Ms Hull is an experienced senior executive with more than 20 years of working across Asia Pacific markets in the dynamic environment of Healthcare, in sales, marketing and leadership, backed with a Master of Business Administration from Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney, Australia. Her most recent role as NZ General Manager/Country Director for Johnson & Johnson Medical saw her lead large teams, in strategy development, manage key relationships, and hold various directorships and governance roles. Juliet is currently an independent non-executive director of NZX/ASX listed Truscreen Group Limited.

In addition to Ms Hull’s MBA, she holds a Bachelor of Nursing from the Auckland Technical Institute and is a member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand. Her early career in nursing underscores her understanding of Cannasouth’s customers who are doctors and patients.

2021 will see Cannasouth launch its first medicinal cannabis products imported under its own brand, subject to product registration approval from the Medicinal Cannabis Agency. Simultaneously, the business will continue working on its second phase of product development, which involves manufacturing products in New Zealand.

Mark Lucas, CEO/Executive Director says, “We are tracking nicely on the implementation of our strategy to be an integrated “seed to sale” medicinal cannabis business, and the skillset Juliet brings to the governance table is well timed.”

Ms Hull says, “I am excited to be joining such a dynamic team. Cannasouth has an exciting future in improving the health and options for people in New Zealand and around the world.”
