Auckland-based Atlantis Marketing is moving into the pharmaceutical sector.

The company has bought a pharmaceutical database management specialist, Data Magic, for an undisclosed amount.

Atlantis, which is 25% owned by newly listed RMG, says the purchase will make it the main supplier of medical professional marketing solutions to the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors in Australasia,

The purchase will also help the company with its push into Australia, as Data Magic has offices there, as well as in New Zealand.

Atlantis boss, Michael Whittaker, says Data Magic has been very successful in helping the pharmaceutical industry reach healthcare professionals.

Data Magic has a team of 20 and its founder, Roz Vickerman, says she had considered a number of strategic business alliances before deciding on Atlantis.
