US markets closed little changed on Friday but registered a seventh straight week of gains in its longest winning strak since 2017 after this week's dovish pivot by the Federal Reserve. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 0.15%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite were down 0.01% and up 0.35% respectively.
Other key markets ended mixed. European stocks closed as follows: the FTSE100 (-0.95%), the Dax 30 (-0.00%), CAC 40 (+0.28%) and the STOXX (+0.23%). In Asia, the Hang Seng and Shanghai indices closed lower. The key Asian indices ended yesterday as follows: Nikkei 225 (+0.87%), HSI (+2.38%) and the Shanghai Composite (-0.33%).
The yield on the US 10 - year note was at 3.915%, while the 2 - year note was at 4.449%. Oil was up to $71.79 per barrel, up 0.29%. The gold price was at US$2033.80 per ounce, down 0.55%.
