Telecom's plans to axe its code division multiple access (CDMA) phone network in July next year were reported by NZPA on July 1 as affecting company's 027 phones on that network.
Telecom said today that number portability for customers who had transferred from other providers to the CDMA network would mean that some 022, 021 or 029 numbers were also affected.
"The closure of the CDMA network means that customers connected to our CDMA network will have their mobile devices disconnected on July 31 2012, regardless of the prefix of their mobile phone number," a spokeswoman said.
Customers unsure whether they were connected to the CDMA or XT networks could call *333 to check.
