Appliance and healthcare company Fisher & Paykel (NZSE: FAP) has declared an early interim dividend of 20 cents per share and a special dividend of 25 cents per share.

The dividends follow an 18 cent final payout declared in June, when the company announced full-year results to the end of March.

F&P's interim balance date is the end of September.

Last month the company received court approval to progress the separation of the business into two separate companies - Appliances, which will incorporate finance, and Healthcare.

The company says it is close to completing the work necessary to undertake the separation process and will send an information pack to shareholders towards the end of next week.

Separation is scheduled by the end of the year.
