[sharechat] CDL Chart

Am really grateful for your charts, Phaedrus.
However, i'm wondering why you didn't draw a steeper down trend using the 
spike at July 01 as the marker?  This would have signalled the trendline 
breakthrough in Feb 02.
I can imagine that the answer is beyond the left-hand top corner, or that 
there were other chart indicators which recommended a conservative view 
...but is there a rule of thumb for placing trendlines?
