I have a question that has been bugging me for quite some time. The sort 
where once you hear the explanation it seems quite obvious, and you feel a 
bit of a fool for asking

Often mining companies or similar often have the letters N L at the end of 
their name.

For example;

        Pan Pacific Petroleum N L

What do the letters N L mean?
