It now looks like the ever-short-sighted Manukau City Council is going to sell its 9% stake "because with 9% they "do not have a controlling stake".

Maybe they should pick up another 1% on the market to make sure of their position. I am sure that if they do ultimately wish to sell, a 10%+ holding will be worth a helluva lot more than the 9% they now hold.
