Hi Snoopy
I must admit that I was rather ' tongue in cheek' when I looked at
the number of executives earning over $100k but some of these are on a
commission basis.
The improvement in the last year came largely from cost cutting rather than
increased turnover, the latter being a disappointment, but hopefully there
may have been a lag between farming improvements and benefits to WRI. With
' hawk eyes ' like Ruth Richardson and Alan Gibbs on the board I would
have thought that the number of well paid executives would have come into
sharp focus for further cost cutting. It would be interesting to know what
the 60 actually do ! But again you can't run an organization without
people of the right calibre who need to be paid well if they are to be
retained.
Just chopping staff seems to be rather simplistic to me.
Regards
Brian
