New management team at Air NZ

Air New Zealand has announced a new management team that will run the day-to-day operations and who will report to the senior executive team.

It is made up of two divisions, airline, headed by group general manager Rob Fyfe, and ventures, headed by Craig Sinclair. The new appointments are: Airlines division ­ , vice-president of marketing and alliances, will be general manager international airline; Andrew David, previously vice-president of strategy, becomes general manager Pacific airline responsible for the Air New Zealand domestic, transtasman and Pacific Islands airline operations; Mike Flanagan, general manager business performance; Bruce Parton, general manager airline services; and Captain David Morgan, who has acted as head of flight operations in recent months and has also had responsibility as B767 fleet captain since June 2001, becomes general manager operations standards, safety and security.

Murray Page will continue to lead the regional airlines team in an acting capacity until a permanent appointment is made.

Ventures division, Trevor Hughes, acting head of Air New Zealand Engineering Services, becomes the permanent general manager; Mary Horgan, general manager airport services; Stephen Jones, general manager business performance, was previously in corporate finance and responsible for financial planning and investor relations; and Wayne Dodge remains general manager Freedom Air, supported day-to-day by Michael Young. Murray Gregg continues as acting general manager cargo until a permanent appointment is made.
