NZ cleaning company expanding in Asia

Crest Commercial Cleaning, a specialist cleaning company, has announced plans to expand its New Zealand and Asia operations creating 150 jobs over the next 18 months, the company says.

Dunedin-based Crest currently employs 1,400 people across its New Zealand and Indian operations, with 235 franchise operations.

“We have been trading in India for two and a half years and currently have 600 personnel in Delhi – we are looking to double that in the next 9 to 12 months,” managing director Grant McLauchlan told BusinessDesk.

“We are currently working with the Singapore Business Advisory and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise to launch in Singapore in April.”

“After establishing ourselves in Singapore we are looking to expand into Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia,” McLauchlan said. “We continue to experienced strong enquires from government and corporate services.”

The commercial cleaning industry is worth about $1 billion to the New Zealand economy.
