The US markets closed sharply lower on Friday after Iran launched missiles at Israel in response to intensive Israeli strikes aimed at crippling Tehran's ability to build nuclear weapons.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.24%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite were up 0.38% and 0.24% respectively.
Other key markets ended mixed. European stocks closed as follows: the FTSE100 (-0.39%), the Dax 30 (-1.07%), CAC 40 (-1.04%) and the STOXX (-1.31%). In Asia, the Hang Seng and Shanghai indices closed higher. The key Asian indices ended yesterday as follows: Nikkei 225(-0.89%), HSI (-0.59%) and the Shanghai Composite (-0.75%).
The yield on the US 10 - year note was at 4.407%, while the 2 - year note was at 3.95%. Oil was up to $71.29 per barrel, up 1.48%. The gold price was at US$3452.80 per ounce, up 1.48%.
