1 June 2023 - NZ RegCo is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Isaac to the NZ Markets Disciplinary Tribunal. The Financial Markets Authority has confirmed the appointment.
NZ RegCo’s Chief Executive, Joost van Amelsfort, welcomed the appointment noting Mr Isaac brought significant governance and frontline markets’ experience to the Tribunal.
Alan Isaac is a professional director with extensive experience in accounting, finance and governance. He is currently a director of Oceania Healthcare Limited, Scales Corporation Limited and Skellerup Holdings Limited. Alan is also currently Chairman of the New Zealand Community Trust and the Basin Reserve Trust, and is a past Chairman of Cricket NZ, and past President of the International Cricket Council and the New Zealand Institute of Directors.
Alan was Chairman of KPMG NZ for 10 years until 2006, and was appointed as a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit (CNZM) in 2013.
Alan holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration degree from Victoria University of Wellington. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

About the NZ Markets Disciplinary Tribunal
The NZMDT is a disciplinary body which is independent of NZX and its subsidiaries. The Financial Markets Authority confirms the appointment of its members. Under the NZMDT Rules, the NZMDT considers referrals made to it by NZ RegCo in relation to the conduct of parties regulated by the market rules and determines penalties in respect of breaches of those rules.
