Synlait Milk Limited’s (Synlait) Chief Finance Officer (CFO) Rob Stowell has been appointed to the newly created position of Chief Commercial Officer.

In this role, Rob will retain responsibility for the Information Services, Risk, Legal, and Governance functions. In addition, he will assume responsibility for several critical strategic workstreams, including the sale of Dairyworks, the North Island strategic assets review, a potential equity raise, and the banking syndicate relationship. Rob’s long serving Synlait experience and strength of relationships will allow these workstreams to be accelerated with pace.

Charles Fergusson has been appointed Acting CFO. Charles retains his current responsibilities for On-Farm Excellence, Business Sustainability, and Corporate Affairs. Charles has extensive experience across a range of commercial and finance roles having spent most of his career in these areas. He initially qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG and held a variety of senior finance roles at Fonterra.

Rob and Charles’ appointments are effective immediately.

Synlait is now commencing its search for a permanent CFO.
