Where can I find historical market data?

Thursday 24th January 2002

Text too small?
Q: Is there a website where the historical p/e ratios and earnings figures for NZ and Australian companies are readily available?

A: Try http://www.datex.co.nz/ - although on this site it may cost to find the information you want. Also visit http://www.nzse.co.nz/ - under 1999 Fact Book you will find data for the year ended 31/12/99 for free. You can also order copies of the 2000 edition if it's what you're after. Some brokers may offer this information on their client sites but you would have to be a client to get at this information.
