US markets closed higher on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising marginally to notch its 10th straight day of advances, its longest rally in almost six years. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 0.01%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite were up 0.03% and down 0.22% respectively.
Other key markets ended mixed. European stocks closed as follows: the FTSE100 (+0.23%), the Dax 30 (-0.17%), CAC 40 (+0.65%) and the STOXX (+0.40%). In Asia, the Hang Seng and Shanghai indices closed lower. The key Asian indices ended yesterday as follows: Nikkei 225(-0.57%), HSI (-0.78%) and the Shanghai Composite (-0.056%).
The yield on the US 10 - year note was at 3.837%, while the 2 - year note was at 4.846%. Oil was up to $76.83 per barrel, down 0.31%. The gold price was at US$1963.90 per ounce, down 0.14%.
