The US market closed higher on Monday, after a selloff last week as traders tried to spot the companies most at risk of having their business models disrupted by AI.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.10%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite were up 0.05% and down 0.22% respectively.
Other key markets ended higher. European stocks closed as follows: the FTSE100 (+0.26%), the Dax 30 (-0.46%), CAC 40 (+0.06%) and the STOXX (-0.11%). In Asia, the Hang Seng and Shanghai indices closed higher. The key Asian indices ended yesterday as follows: Nikkei 225(-0.24%), HSI (+0.52%) and the Shanghai Composite (-1.26%).
The yield on the US 10 - year note was at 4.048%, while the 2 - year note was at 3.408%. Oil was up to $63.56 per barrel, up 1.29%. The gold price was at US$5014.75 per ounce, down 0.63%.
