Fletcher Building today announces that Joe Locandro has been appointed to the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO), replacing Dan Beecham.

Mr Locandro joins Fletcher Building in New Zealand after holding CIO and Chief Digital Officer roles in Australia, Hong Kong and the Middle East for more than two decades.

Fletcher Building Chief Executive Ross Taylor says: “Joe brings a highly relevant skillset to his new role, particularly with his background in leading IT strategies and functions in major companies. As a technology leader in the aviation industry, he has been at the forefront of e-commerce for some of the world’s biggest airlines. In addition, his experience in the energy sector has seen him successfully lead the development and delivery of new data platforms and transactional systems. He also brings deep experience of ERP implementations and is well known for his commitment to people and their success.

“I would also like to thank Dan Beecham for all he has achieved in his role. Given all the COVID related disruption, Dan has made the difficult decision to remain in Australia for family reasons. He has been an outstanding leader who has set our IT strategy and team on a strong path. We wish him and his family all the best.”
