Brierley Investments has lifted its holding in Asia Pacific Breweries partner, Singapore-based Fraser and Neave.

Asia Pacific Breweries is 42% owned by Heineken and 38% by Fraser and Neave. Brierley says it has built up a 10% stake in Fraser and Neave through a series of acquisitions by its Inscribe Investments subsidiary.

Recent purchases have been made at around S$6 a share, and BIL now owns just under 30 million shares.

Aside from its brewery investment F&N has investments in property, soft drink and dairy production, glass bottle manufacturing, theme parks and a 21% stake in Times Publishing.

Earlier this week brewer DB announced that Asia Pacific Breweries now owns 76.63% of the company's stock.
