Summerset Director Anne Urlwin has announced her retirement from the Board from 28 February 2023.
Mrs Urlwin has been a director of Summerset since 1 March 2014 and has chaired the company’s Audit Committee since April of this year.
Summerset Board Chair Mark Verbiest said Anne has made a significant contribution to Summerset during her time on the board.
“On behalf of the Board I’d like to thank Anne for the experience and leadership she has provided in the, almost, nine years she has been with us. During Anne’s time on the Board Summerset has grown to be the second largest retirement village in New Zealand going from 18 to 36 villages, while more than doubling resident numbers, and we’ve moved into Australia.”
“Throughout Anne’s tenor she has been actively involved in a large range of activities including governance over Summerset retail bond issuances, valuable guidance to management in our Development and Construction Committee, and most recently Chair of our Audit Committee.
“We’re sorry to see Anne leave the board but we appreciate that she is taking on a new board position with Infratil and she wishes to manage both her workload and any potential conflicts that may come with her new role.”
Mrs Urlwin’s retirement will take effect on 28 February 2023, following the announcement of Summerset’s F22 financial results announcement on 24 February 2023.
The Summerset Board will begin the process immediately to find a new Board member and Anne’s replacement as Chair of the Audit Committee will be announced in due course.
