Bruce Sheppard has resigned as chairman of the New Zealand Shareholders Association and been replaced byJohn Hawkins.
Sheppard says his recent appointment to the Financial Markets Authourity Establishment Board has brought his resignation forward.
“To avoid any perceived conflict of interest with his new role, he will also step aside from the NZSA Board in the meantime.”
John Hawkins has been elected as his successor. He has served two years on the association’s board as director of strategic relations.
“John has universal support from our whole team, and I am confident he can take the Association forward in a positive way,” Sheppard says.
