ASX-listed 9 Spokes International has launched in the UK its online dashboard for small business to connect their various cloud-based apps in one place.
The Auckland-based firm, which bypassed the local bourse when it listed in June, launched the 'Direct' platform in the UK today, which it said passed the first of four major milestones, by opening it up to 5.5 million businesses, transitioning to a live state and developing a platform for both the company and its channel partners, Barclays Bank, Suncorp Group and Propel by Deloitte in the UK.
The launch attracted endorsements from heavyweight international accounting software firms Intuit and Sage, and New Zealand point-of-sale software developer Vend.
"Over coming months we will steadily increase our promotional activity," chief executive Mark Estall said in a statement. "Our team will focus on optimising marketing ROI (return on investment) as we start to attract customers on to our platform."
The New Zealand company co-founded four years ago by Estall and Adrian Grant operates a platform that small businesses can use to aggregate their various cloud computing apps. The dashboard mines information from the apps to give small to medium sized companies a real-time view of how their business is performing and the data is benchmarked against their peers in the same industry.
The ASX-listed shares rose 3.2 percent to 16 Australian cents, though are still down from the 20 cents listing price.
