Australian listed tech company DCS Technologies has picked up the remaining half of Auckland-based MarketSMART for $1.8 million.

MarketSMART is a loyalty program and customer relationship management company which DCS says has developed leading edge software and hosting infrastructure in the field.

The New Zealand firm is currently processing for Australian programs based in Melbourne and Brisbane as well as several New Zealand programs including FlyBuys.

DCS says the move to full ownership allows it to operate complete private label charge card systems for corporations as well as E-Gift Certificates, phone card recharging and other leading edge and high demand solutions.

The buyout will be funded by the issue of 4.5 million DCS shares at 40 cents and a further two million options with a strike price of 50 cents.

MarketSMART currently has annual revenue of around A$750,000 but DCS says that figure is set to double under the merger.
