NZX finally announced for launching the initial five options contracts starting in May 2004.

Also NZX has introduced the new index Futures Contract since 16 March 2004 that comprise the largest and most liquid 15 domestic securities listed on the NZX Market http://www.nzx.com/nzxmarket/nzsx/indices/nzsx15

The NZ Futures and Option Exchange (NZFOX) products will use Sydney Futures Exchange (SFE) as their Clearing House.

Since the most important consideration in trading Futures & Options are LIQUIDITY, it will be most interesting to find out soon, how liquid or illiquid they are??
