Dow Jones - 30 Jan 2002 - SINGAPORE: Shares of BIL International (B16), 
formerly
Brierley Investments, up 17% at 31 Singapore cents on hopes it may mount 
hostile
takeover for food and beverage group Fraser & Neave (F04), traders say. BIL,
controlled by Malaysian tycoon Quek Leng Chan, owns about 11% of F&N. F&N 
shares
up 3.9% at S$8.10 on similar hopes; stronger soft-drink sales before Chinese 
New
Year also adding to sentiment, traders say.(AXH)
